Method
We report wonders as testimony. We don't assert them, and we don't dismiss them by assumption. Allegations are attributed to the people who made them, unless a court or official body found them proven.
Evidence grades
- A. The person's own writing, or eyewitness testimony recorded in their lifetime or soon after.
- B. Written within about one generation of death by people who knew witnesses.
- C. First recorded later, drawing on an identifiable earlier tradition.
- D. Legend, first recorded centuries later, or historicity itself is disputed.
Probabilities
Each event carries two estimates. Testimony genuine asks whether these people really said this at about that time. Event as described asks whether the visible event happened as witnesses described it, by ordinary historical standards. For visions the label reads Experience occurred, and for teachings Belief on record: a high number there means the person had the experience, or followers held the belief, and says nothing about whether its content is true. Events that go against known physics or biology stay in a band of 1 to 5 per cent, however strong the witnesses, and the strength of the witnesses shows in the first number.
These are a reviewer's judgments, and they are not calculations. We give no number for whether anything was divine, because nothing can measure that.
Respect
These are people whom others hold sacred. We use each tradition's own terms and aim for neither mockery nor devotion. Where a community treats images with special reverence, as Baha'is do with portraits of Baha'u'llah and the Bab, we show shrines or manuscripts.
Images and rights
Images come from free sources, with the credit and license under each one. This site shows only images whose license we could confirm. Quotations are short, and copyrighted works are mainly paraphrased. If you hold rights in anything here and object, tell us and we will review it.

We want them. A public address for records and corrections is coming soon.
Not advice
Nothing here is medical or religious advice. Accounts of healing are history, and they are no substitute for medical care.
